Hackring is a webring for hackers and makers who like to share projects via personal websites and blogs.
I works like an actual ring, how Webrings originally worked. When you click the right half of the button while on a member site, it always goes to the next member site in list, and the left half goes to the previous. The last site in the list wraps back to the first, creating the ring. This gives you virtual neighbours that you can check up on from your own footer, or read through the entire ring to catch up with the entire neighbourhood.
Put this HTML on your site's home page. Your site will be added to the ring and discoverable when somebody uses the links.
If you don't have your own domain/subdomain and instead your homepage is beneath a shared domain, modern browsers will only show us the main domain name, so add your complete address without https:// to both links. For example, change the code below to use https://hackring.com/next?site=example.com/username/ (and the same site value on the previous link).
<a href="https://hackring.com/previous"><img src="https://hackring.com/previous.gif" width="44" height="31" alt="Previous Hackring site"></a><a href="https://hackring.com/next"><img src="https://hackring.com/next.gif" width="44" height="31" alt="Next Hackring site"></a>
Bonus points if you create your own buttons that suit your site, and just link to the routes yourself, or use text links and style them with CSS/etc. Get creative!
